Fare and Folk Closes Café on Henry Street

Locals took note of the café quietly shutting down over the summer.

Fare and Folk, a quaint café located at 402 Henry Street, has shut down.

The café was known for its coffee, espresso and pastries, including vegan options, and for serving sandwiches from Sea and Soil and Court Street Grocers through the years. No announcement was made on the café’s Instagram account, though one local recalls seeing it had closed down by mid-August.

“I didn’t go there every day, so maybe there was more notice to the regulars, but it felt like it was there one day and gutted the next,” Jack Neary told Court Street Journal.

Muzi Melikoglu, who owns nearby business Little Snowflakes Daycare, said Fare and Folk moved due to forthcoming renovations to the building. “All tenants moved out,” she said.
