James Caputo of Caputo Bakery is opening a bagel shop in Park Slope this fall. “The menu focuses on sourdough bagels, used for open-face and breakfast sandwiches, as well as pastries familiar to Caputo regulars,” Eater reports.
Are you on the pied-à-terre tax list? Here’s how to check. After a brief review, I found several unqualified properties on the list. It’s possible the government simply pulled properties worth more than $1 million without verifying that they’re second homes or unoccupied. That is to say, take the list with a grain of salt, and don’t forget to check your mail.

The Food and Drug Administration recalled Brooklyn Roasting Works’ Pasteurized Cold Brew Concentrate, 2.5 gallon bag-in-a-box, distributed between April 1 and June 20 of this year. Brooklyn Roasting Works is based in the Navy Yard and sells throughout New York and New Jersey.
