Summer Skincare Tips from a Biologique Recherche-Approved Salon Owner

Allison Tray, founder of Tres Belle Petite Medi-Spa, shares four tips for healthy summer skin.

Tres Belle Petite Medi-Spa, the neighborhood’s only Biologique Recherche-approved spa, was once an 80-square-foot room offering laser hair removal and nothing else. Allison Tray co-founded the spa with her father, a chiropractor who encouraged Tray to invest in laser technology. For years, Tray performed laser hair removal from small rooms she’d rent from larger businesses. Eventually, she opened her own space in Boerum Hill, which she has called home for nearly 15 years.

Tres Belle is known for its Biologique Recherche facials, which feature products and techniques developed by the cult-favorite luxury French skincare brand. Created by a biologist and a physiotherapist in the Seventies, Biologique Recherche is renowned for its products and facials, which are performed exclusively in spas that it owns or partners with. The brand appears to be in expansion mode and recently opened a pop-up in SoHo—its first owned brick-and-mortar in NYC.
