The Hellboy Rises in Gowanus
Paulie Gee’s prepares to open a two-story pizzeria and bar in Gowanus as its original Greenpoint location transforms under new ownership.
The ovens may be cooling in Greenpoint, but Paulie Gee’s is expanding south, bringing its signature slices and a larger footprint to a rapidly evolving stretch of Gowanus.
As the original Greenpoint location enters a new chapter under different ownership, founder Paul Giannone is helping shape the brand’s next evolution alongside former employees Kyle and Logan Driscoll. The team has taken over what used to be Ample Hills Creamery space at 305 Nevins Street. They plan to open a two-level pizza shop with a full bar, second dining room and rooftop deck this spring, or as soon as a long-awaited gas meter arrives.
