Brooklyn’s last working port is on the verge of a major glow up, but will local residents and businesses benefit? The city plans to add as many as 9,000 luxury waterfront housing units to the Brooklyn Marine Terminal – a move that’s raising eyebrows and protest signs. A few hundred locals, including members of the BMT Task Force, gathered at a rally this week to voice their concerns ahead of next week’s vote. Full story here.

• Worker-owned sandwich shop Sea & Soil is throwing a moving party tomorrow, April 6, as it relocates to a new space. There will be donuts!

• La Bicyclette Bakery is bringing its carbs and coffee to wine bar Entre Nous. The latter will host a wine x sandwiches party next Sunday afternoon. How do you say “big link” in French?

• Who else is tariff-f*cked? This post from Rue Saint Paul made me think about how small businesses will be impacted. Might write about this for next week…

• This vintage curation of linens at Dae makes me want to wear a nap dress, bake a pie (?) and host a dinner party.

• Books Are Magic created cards with information to help people “assert your rights and protections under the Constitution, regardless of immigration status, as ICE agents continue to operate in the area.” The free cards are available at the registers of both locations.

• This announcement from Planted Cafe made me lol. “Planted bathhouse is happening” … and there’s no stopping it!
