What I Wrote This Week
I spoke with Allison Tray, co-founder of Tres Belle Petite Medi-Spa in Boerum Hill, about Biologique Recherche, the crème de la crème of beauty brands. We talked about Tres Belle’s humble beginnings as an 80-square-foot studio offering laser hair removal and how Tray became such a believer in the efficacy of Biologique Recherche’s products, she handed over her entire savings to become the neighborhood’s only brand-approved spa. Here, she shares her go-to summer skincare tips.
The Roundup
The BMT Task Force vote has been postponed for a fifth time.

Maha Rose is hosting an event-slash-support group for anyone (*raises hand*) affected by one of the most significant astrological events of the decade. The ticketed event takes place Wednesday, August 14 from 6:30p.m. - 8:30p.m.
I am bewitched by these two videos (separate links) Japanese head spa Hanare posted this week. The first advertises their Brain Detox treatment (perfect for a Uranus in Gemini moment), while the second promotes what I believe is their signature head spa treatment. Hanare is located at 367 Graham Ave in Williamsburg.
Brooklyn Grange posted this video as a call to applicants for three open positions and, honestly, who doesn’t want to be a garden manager? The Grange is also looking to hire a private events manager and an events coordinator. Learn more/apply here.
Lucali took over San Sabino in the West Village as part of a larger partnership with Chase Sapphire—and there was merch.
Woven is hosting a free community class tomorrow, July 27 from 12p.m. to 1p.m. Bring your own mat.
Finally, here’s one thing that left a bad taste in my mouth and one thing that made my mouth water.
Liked the article on beauty tips. Also enjoying the tidbits of special local events.
